Where does Hanglage come from?
We, the Hanglage team, are located in the middle of beautiful Hamburg, Germany. This is also where our stylish wine racks were first designed. The production is also completed in northern Germany, by an owner-managed carpentry business in the north of Hamburg. The name Hanglage connects our beautiful wine racks with the slopes of the wine growing regions. Just like the vines growing there, the wine bottles are also perfectly arranged: parallel, stable, uncluttered and decorative. The products in our accessories section are brands from Denmark and Holland.
How do I measure properly:
In order to make your customised wine rack, we need the exact measurement of the ceiling height. Important: Think about where you want to place your Hanglage wine rack. Since not all buildings have the exact same ceiling height throughout (this may vary slightly due to the age of the building), it is important that you measure at the place where you'll be enjoying your new rack. When filled with bottles, the rack has a width of approx. 53 cm and a depth of 10 cm. You can measure using a standard folding rule. Measuring with a laser distance metre is easy and accurate, and they are available at affordable prices. Send us the measurement to the nearest millimetre. For example, if you measure a ceiling height of 2 m 58 cm and 3 mm, then give us this precise value. It needs to be as accurate as possible. If you happen to have made a small mistake or want to place the rack somewhere else in your home at a later point in time, this is no problem! Our rack has a smart design with a little flexibility in both the foot and ceiling ends. This allows for fluctuations of a few millimetres (and even up to a few centimetres). Please remember that our maximum rack height is 3.00 m. Please contact us if your ceiling height is more than 3.00 m.
Payment and delivery?
We accept various methods of payment: credit card, PayPal, invoice and bank transfer. Once you have placed and paid for your order, we will begin producing your rack or send you your accessories. You'll receive a notification when your rack has been shipped. We ship our products using parcel service providers. Once your parcel is on its way to you, we’ll send you a tracking number so that you can track your delivery. If an accessory is returned to us, we will issue a refund within 2-3 working days. We only accept products that have been returned in their original packaging. We currently ship within Germany but are constantly expanding our reach. Does it come with assembly instructions?
Of course! Every wine rack is delivered with detailed instructions. These instructions describe how to assemble the Hanglage wine rack step by step. If you have any questions, you can always contact us. And should you need a replacement manual, let us know and we will send you one immediately.
Do I need a handyman to assemble the wine rack?
No, you do not need to be a handyman to put up the wine rack. All the necessary parts to mount it as well as the assembly instructions are included with the delivery. All you need is a drill, a folding rule or measuring tape, a pencil and preferably a spirit level. To assemble the wine rack, you just need to drill two holes, hammer in two dowels, screw in three screws and use an Allen key – less work than fixing a curtain rod. We also have a built-in intelligent design that allows you adjust the length a few millimetres to fit if necessary.
Can the wine rack fall over?
No, the Hanglage wine rack cannot fall over. It is fixed to the ceiling using screws. You can also secure the inbuilt feet to the ground using an Allen key. The rack is therefore perfectly secured and cannot fall over.
Can I return my item?
Customer-specific goods, i.e. custom-made goods manufactured to customer requirements, cannot be returned pursuant to §312g para. 2 of the German Civil Code. No right of cancellation therefore exists for Hanglage wine racks. If the Hanglage wine rack delivered is not the right length, please contact us using the contact form or via email. We will work with you to find a solution. If you are not content with one of the Hanglage accessory products, you have a 14-day right of return and can send the accessory back within 14 days from the date of receipt. The goods must be returned undamaged and in their original packaging. You will receive your reimbursement within 2-3 working days. The Hanglage wine rack was damaged upon delivery, what do I do now?
If the packaging shows signs of damage upon delivery, it is important that you state this to the delivery driver upon receiving the item. Please send us photos of the damaged packaging and the damaged rack. We will then get in contact with the courier.
Complaints
If your wine rack is damaged upon delivery but the packaging was not affected, please contact us by email (weinregal@hanglage.com) with a photo of the damage, your name, order number and telephone number. If an accessory product is damaged or faulty, please send us an email (weinregal@hanglage.com) with a photo and your details including order number and we will let you know how to proceed. Or, return the damaged item to us stating the information on the returns slip. We will then take care of this and either replace your item free of charge or issue a refund.
