What is special about the Coravin wine system?
Extend the life of your everyday wines with the Pivot wine preservation system. You exchange the supplied stopper for the cork or screw cap of your bottle and can now enjoy your wine by the glass. The wine does not lose its flavor due to the special system and the wine bottle can be kept for up to 4 weeks.
Coravin Model Pivot compared to other Coravin models
The Coravin Model Pivot is the new entry-level model from Coravin and an optimal alternative if you don't want to spend quite as much money, but want to benefit from the functionality. The principle is the same for all models: Your wine in the opened bottle will keep much longer!
With the Pivot model, you exchange the cork for the stopper and the pouring system is slightly different from the other models. Thus, you can then enjoy the wine for another 4 weeks without any problems.
With the other models, the cork remains in the bottle and the wines can be enjoyed even years later after pouring with Coravin. For wine bottles with screw caps up to 3 months.
How do I use the Coravin system?
The use is very simple. The stopper is directly exchanged for the cork or screw cap and remains on the wine bottle until it is empty. The Pivot System is placed in the stopper and you can simply pour your glass of wine. Afterwards, you take the wine system out again and close the stopper.
In the Coravin system is a cartridge with argon gas. Thus, no oxygen enters the wine bottle, which leads to the fact that the wine is preserved and lasts even longer. Of course, the gas is absolutely harmless.
How long do the cartridges last?
With each cartridge you can pour up to 15 glasses of wine (150ml).
